USC fall 08 transfer chances?

GPAs:
Pasadena City College, 35 transferable units (3.65)
Glendale Community College, 7 transferable units (4.0)
Total (transferable) GPA: 3.71, 42 units

Major: Policy, Planning, and Development
ECs: Deans list, Alpha Gamma Sigma, community service, work, high school sports
GEs: will have all done except category II by the time I apply, but no foreign language (my major doesnt require it)
Prereqs: A's in all major reqs
High school: lol
SATs: never took them

do I have a good chance?

LOL! we have a same GPA! but after this summer im hoping to go up to 3.74.
im also applying for 08 fall.
I think you have a good chance but r u applying as junior or sophomore?

You might want to take the SAT's if you are applying as a sophmore, especially if your high school stats are "lol" status. Your GPA is good, and excluding Marshall, USC is pretty safe (don't want to say easy) to get into from a California Community College.

taro- Junior transfers don't have to list SAT scores rite?

im applying as a junior transfer

and no torrance you don't have to send SAT scores if you're a junior transfer.

btw, what major are you applying as?

bumbumbum- either psychology or sociology! Hopefully, we both get in!

Question: i know that "W" won't hurt for UC school but since USC is private does it hurt to hav total 6 "W"s?

yes i heard if you have more than 2 - 3 W's, it's bad...

o well... i will try not to get W's anymore..

torrance:

W's are pretty bad, but im sure if you have a reasonable explanation for them USC will understand. just explain why you had them somewhere on your app.

I do not think kids who have "lol" high school stats and those who have never taken the SAT should be considered for admission to a powerful academic institution like USC.

I can understand if they were not provided guidance at a young age. If this is indeed the case, the h.s. gpa should not read "lol" but rather "did not have academic guidance/influence growing up."

once again, ND freak doesnt know what he is talking about.

USC doesnt require SAT scores after 30 units. I think you have a good chance. Good luck =)

I know it doesn't; 'SC should require them, however.

if they did require SAT i would not apply!
