USC Financial Aid Housing

Hey guys, i had a question in regards to how the financial aid package works when letting usc know that you won't be living on campus. So my question is if i were to let usc know that i won't be living on campus, they will shrink the cost of attendance by 12,000. with that in mind, do you know if my financial package will be adjusted? my aid will NOT be higher than the cost of attendance after taking out the room and board fee. so i'm worried that once they take out the room and board costs that they will reduce the aid that i currently have.

if anyone has notified usc that they will be living off campus, please let me know if your financial aid package was adjusted. If it was adjusted, was the cost of attendance the only thing that shrunk or did your financial aid shrink as well? Please let me know asap. Thanks!

Our recent experience with our rising Junior son is that going with non-univerisity housing does not affect financial aid at all. The cost of private student apartments near the campus is close to the cost of university housing and USC must know that and figures COA that way.
