USC financial aid urgent!!

hi guys:

i'm currently doing the tax returns on USC financial aid website and im using my parents' 1040A form but that form cannot be upload via internet but i can't find the coverpage for faxing either! so i was wondering if it's okay to use the 1040 tab but with 1040A data. if not what should i do?

jellybea, I think that’s fine. I sent in several docs w/ the “unknown or unlisted” tab and fin aid has indicated that they were received.

mommylaw’s suggestion of “unknown or unlisted” is better than the 1040-specific tab/form. There are financial aid advantages for being eligible for the 1040A, so you don’t want to confuse the issue.

You can ALWAYS create your own FAX cover pages - Include the applicant name, USC ID#, the name of the document(s) (for example: "Parent tax return - 1040A), and the number of pages being FAXed.

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! i found the cover page. do i just include only the photo copies for the signed tax forms, W-2 and schedules and thats it? or is there a specific document USC wants me to print and fill out in addition to the photocopies?

Tax return, all schedules, W-2s (for both parents and for student applicant) and you should be set.

Good luck!

thanks! yeah usc is complicated. just wanted to make sure that i don’t need to send in anything other than photocopies.
