<p>I think I read somewhere that there is a bookstore sale at the end of the semester... can anyone confirm this or give more details?

<p>^ Probably not. That sale should be coming up soon, but it is in the store only.</p>
<p>They do give coupons to you when you come to orientation. I forgot whether it's 10% or 15% off, but it doesn't expire until the first day of classes.</p>
<p>I can't remember exactly, but I think the coupon is invalid for textbook purchases or items already on sale. You will soon learn that the USC Bookstore tries to get every penny they can from you.</p>
<p>As for the items on sale, don't expect to find exactly what you want. Most merchandise will be stuff that hasn't sold for several months. Expect to find XXL "USC Grandparent" sweatshirts or hats commemorating our appearance in the 2006 Rose Bowl. A lot of returned or repackaged stuff (especially electronics) will also be on sale.</p>
<p>75% off won't happen. Last semester, the bookstore sale was only 20% or something like that (correct me if I'm wrong, redski).</p>
<p>I sort've laugh because the % discount used to be the number of points USC wins by during their last home game, but obviously, that we pwned the bruins too much this year for the bookstore to maintain a profit!</p>
<p>^ Actually, you may be on to something. I never heard of that until now with the UCLA game having an influence on the discount.</p>
<p>But wasn't it 75% off last semester? It definitely was bigger than 20%, I remember that. My friends and I spent 2 hrs going on a spree there. I got all my Xmas shopping done w/ all the mugs and sweatshirts my hands could hold :D</p>
<p>It was probably more than 20% but I don't think it was more than 50%. I bought my parents SC sweatshirts and from what I remember it ended up costing somewhere in the mid-$30's.</p>
<p>I think some of the old Orange Bowl stuff was really cheap though. But overall, it was cheap enough for me to go on a shopping spree!</p>
