USC Internal Transfer

I recently was accepted into USC as a journalism major. I have always had a passion in film, and I would like to internally transfer into the SCA program. I was wondering if any internal transfers could get to me with advice on the process and some tips on what they think helped their application be accepted. Also, would anyone suggest applying to CMS since you need less credits, or waiting until sophomore year to apply directly to TV and Film Production?
