I’m a sophomore at USC and I was just accepted as an internal transfer into the SCA division of cinema and media studies. I’m also thinking about applying to the production major on September first. Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is into the production major for students who are already in SCA?
It depends on people dropping out of the program. That said, a lot of the CTCS (Cinema and Media Studies) people want to transfer to Production, so it’s definitely competitive, and the admission people know that you just got into CTCS, and they might not like that you used it as a leeway into Production. Or at least that is what I heard from one of the film professors.
