USC Iovine and Young vs. Columbia/Princeton

Hi, class of 24 senior and I was admitted to USC’s Iovine and Young Academy as well as Columbia, Princeton, and Duke. Looking to do business in the future with intersection of tech, but not entirely sure of a specific path. Is IYA a legit program or just a buzzy USC attempt after Roski’s failure? When I visited, the people seemed cool but no one really outstanding like you would see at an Ivy League or other T20 school

HOLY ■■■■. Like actually congratulations on your insane accomplishments and being accepted to Iovine!!!

As an SC student (and failed Iovine and Young applicant lol), I can personally vouch that Iovine and Young is 100000% an incredibly legit and insane program. Y’alls ridiculous BUILDING just got completed. Iovine and Young is known as “The Academy” on campus and nearly every Iovine and Young kid I’ve met (I think there’s only like 30 a year) is insanely talented and also gotten into like every top school. (The one I know well made 15+ apps in high school and turned down Stanford/cal tech CS for Iovine). they choose the academy for THE ACADEMY. You cannot get that experience, that cohort, those connections, those types of equally accomplished like-minded peers at any other school. You will work together to create your dreams! Please heavily consider this amazing opportunity. Also, USC as a college is the most well rounded place to be. The PERFECT balance of academics/athletics/and a social scene. The energy and morale is through the roof (I wouldn’t be writing this otherwise…). I respect your choosing of an ivy but this isn’t SC v Ivy…this is IOVINE vs ivy–that’s a whole different argument.
