USC Receives $50 Million Gift for School of Policy, Planning and Development

USC has received a gift of $50 million for the School of Policy, Planning and Development. The donation was from the Price Family Charitable Fund. The charity was established by the late Mr. Price who earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the university. His wife, Helen, was also an alumna. A grandson is a recent graduate of USC. Price had success in retail businesses and real estate development, particularly in San Diego.

Robert Price, their son and president of the Price Family Charitable Fund, said SC's public policy programs in real estate, urban planning and health administration dovetail with his father's endeavors.

The funds will be used to establish the Price Center for Social Innovation, fund fellowships and faculty projects.

This is wonderful news! I am actually a SPPD (now USC Price) alumni, so this hits very close to home. The public policy program is one of the very best in the country and this donation will truly catapult the program even further.

Anyone who is interested in this program, please feel free to approach me with any of your questions.

Thank you President Nikias for your excellent work in transforming USC to an undisputed elite university.
