USC summer program or USC young researchers program?

I am deciding which one to do..... seeing that i really wish to attend USC one day!
Which one will be more beneficial, or increase my chances of getting into USC actually....
Also which one is more worth it! I am not only looking to "pad" my application, but also for a good experience i can really learn from!
if anyone has taken either, can you tell me if you had actually applied to USCand been accepted ?
I am having such a hard time deciding between thesetwo !
Especially after a post where it said that people had gotten into USC after taking the usc summer program o.o
i will be thankful with any type of help ! thankk you

My son auditioned for the USC summer studio/jazz guitar program, which he got into. It was very costly, but was a great program. He thought it might help him get into the Thornton School of Music, but the first day, they told us it would not. He would have to get into USC first and then the music school. Anyway, he decided he did not want to be a musician (though he is amazing) but did apply for USC chemistry. Check parchment.com, it gives you your chances if you put in your stats. He fell in love with the school.

Could anyone who attended USC young researchers give a feedback? Trying deciding between this research program and the other one on the other coast. This program is just 15 hours per week, the other one is a full time. USC is a dream school.
