Usc supplement help!!!

Hi! I am currently working on the University of Southern California supplement and a question arose:

USC asks that I choose a major, and I put undeclared.
However, despite being undeclared, I my current interests lie in engineering and medical.
For engineering, it asks that I apply to the Viterbi school of engineering and answer their short responses.

Even if I am ultimately undecided but have mere interests in such fields, do I still have to apply for specific school? And do I have to put "Engineering (Undecided) EVEN IF I am ultimately undeclared?

Thanks!

also, under the “Humanities, Religion and Academic Electives” section, does Academic Decathlon count?

Urgent!!!

If you want to be considered Undeclared, it means your application is reviewed by the Dornsife (general) USC Admissions office. If you want to major in Engineering, you’ll be reviewed by the Viterbi Engineering School first, and if they should say no (generally, people think Viterbi is a harder admit than Dornsife–but no real evidence), your app will still go on to be reviewed by Dornsife as Undeclared.

Since you seem pretty sure you don’t want to start out in Engineering, do not fill out the Viterbi Supplement and simply answer Undeclared as your first choice major with no second choice major.

If Academic Decathlon is a course at your High School (with grades), then you should list it as you state. If it is an activity period or after school activity, you should list it as an EC.

Best of luck.

Thank you so much for your help!
