USC transfer questions

Do we have to have the whole application turned in by the 20th to receive priority for financial aid or just the CSS profile? It says on the financial aid portion that "USC suggest you submit your fafsa and profile by january 20th".. I'm just wondering because im almost done with my app, i just need some more time to edit and im really busy this week. I've got my FAFSA in and CSS profile almost completed (will be done by the 20th) but i might not be able to get my APP in by the 20th...

what is the css profile?

CSS profile, but you should have sent something in so they have created a file for you by then.

something in? i've sent the part one application in and got all my barcodes and the paper app... could you elaborate?

CSS profile is like the fafsa except it asks more detailed questions; you can find it at collegeboard.com a lot of privates require you to fill that out in addition to the fafsa.

Right. If you send in the Part I or the Pre-Application, the school has created a file for you. If you don't send in anything in then just hand them the CSS file, although financial aid office is separate from admissions, they don't know if you are an actual applicant or have any of your personal details at file so my advice is make sure you have at least one form (the Part I/Pre-Application) sent in before you mail the CSS for the sake of keeping all the documents straight.

alright... i already sent the fafsa ill do the css by tommorrow and ill call the financial aid office just to be sure.. i might even be done with the whole application on friday, online though.
