USC, UFL, Brown, UPenn, NEU, ASU .. Computer Science

Hi guys … Wanted to know which of the following universities should I attend for Masters in Computer Science. Money is not an issue for me, and I want to attend a program which maximizes my chances of employment within the software development industry in the US after graduation (I’ll be an international F-1 based student). My preferred software area is .NET and Java based solution development, and not embedded programming.

Here are the universities I have to choose from:

University of Southern California,
University of Florida,
Brown University,
Northeastern University,
Arizona State University

Brown

USC or Brown

Between USC and Brown, which is better ? I can’t seem to decide

USC has a better location and weather, is also slightly cheaper. Brown is an Ivy league school, and is somehow also rated at #1 in LinkedIn’s Software Developer schools.

And how does ASU compare to Brown and USC ? Phoenix also has a lot of software jobs I think.

At the UG level (and I assume by extension, the MS level) tech companies come from all over the country to Brown’s campus to recruit Brown students. You don’t need to be in California or Phoenix when you’re enrolling at a top tier program.

What do employers in your country of citizenship or residency think about each school?
