USC Viterbi Receives $6 Million NIH Grant

<p>It was announced the USC Viterbi School of Engineering's Dr. Kirk Shung and the biomedical engineering department will receive a $6 million grant given by the National Institute of Health. Dr. Shung is a professor of biomedical engineering and the Director of SC's Ultrasonic Transducer Resource Center.</p>

<p>The grant will fund work on high frequency ultrasonic transducer technology. This is the only recent NIH grant to fund research on ultrasound in the biomedical field.</p>
