USC VS UMICH

Hello all,

I am in the midst of deciding between USC and UMICH for the final two or three years of my undergrad (im a transfer). Im hoping to gather anyones thoughts on which university they think would be a better fit for me. A bit about me-- I am a cognitive science major, which is essentially a interdisciplinary major with psych, philos and linguistics. I am interested in research on the undergraduate level in preparation for grad school. I am looking for the better uni for a transfer transition as well. I am also from the midwest, so i am tempted to head out west to get out of my comfort zone. I had the chance to visit both unis and was blown away by both, however the USC campus is especially stunning. Thus far, i am convinced UMICH has slightly better academics, at least in my field. USC, in my eyes, would offer me a different and exciting new vibe from the midwest.
Any and all comments are appreciated on what i have mentioned above.

Is there a significant cost difference?

@TooOld4School No. Tuition is not an issue

If money is not a concern, I’d worry about evaluating the academic programs, accessing the research opportunities and accessing the graduate school placement outcomes.
