I'm deciding between UMich and USC, and need some more up-to-date help making my decision. I was admitted to UM for LSA undergrad but want to join the Ross school, and I was admitted to USC for spring admission to the Marshall school. I intend to pursue business post-college, but want some reactions on the college-experience, academics/prestige and anything that I may want to know.

Also: Im currently leaning towards UM but the cold weather and even more monstrous size seems to be a bit concerning to a newcomer, plus USC's weather seems a bit awesome

Go to Michigan!!! (Though I’m extremely biased because I live in Michigan and my high school feed there)
But if I am thinking logically I might say go to USC so you can do well enough to stand out and get into Ross easier. I know someone who turned down Stanford to go to UMich to do something like that. Then again, if you go to UMich, they might pick people already there for first spots into Ross.
In the end I say UMich, because (again) I’m biased and because it could possible help you be better known to go to Ross, plus you would have already had experience on the campus.

Good luck! (Also I’m a freshman in high school so you probably don’t want my advice I know nothing lol)

I don’t know which is better for you. They’re pretty close, with a slight edge to Umich. Pretty nice choices you have there. What are the costs of each to you?

USC does have an awesome mentoring program in the business school. I’d consider the total out of pocket cost for each and how you and your family will pay for that. Since you wish to go to grad school and try to save some resources for that as well (though SOME employers MAY help you get a grad degree, with strings).

Have you visited each school and set in some classes? Congrats on your great options!

D is in Marshall Schl right now. Loves it. Also exposure to international students and more diversity than UM. Also no issues with state budget cuts as it is a private
