Hey I need help figuring out which to pick out. I really like USC, but I have yet to visit UT (and won't visit NEU). I'm going to be a business major and I know each of these schools have great/pretty great business programs. The main thing holding me back from committing to USC right now is that it is 200k compared to NEU and UT's 100k (I got lots of merit and NEU and UT is in state). Money isn't particularly an issue, I could get through USC debt free, but if I went to NEU or UT I would have thousands left in the bank. Is USC worth it?
Thoughts?

Thanks

You can narrow down the choice by where you’d like to live after graduation. UT’s alumni network will be most valuable for jobs in TX.

LA and Austin > cold north weather

Also: I was put in honors, new world scholar, and presidential global scholar at NEU

UT at 1/2 the cost of USC, is twice the value. USC and UT are reputed to have very strong alumni networks. I wouldn’t pass that up for NE honors college.

I went through the same decision and picked USC over UT Austin. However, I was OOS for UT and USC had given me the Trustee merit scholarship. McCombs is one of the best business schools in the country, and is highly valued. Are you in BHP? BHP has a 100% job placement rate!

Thanks for your replies,
I just got another scholarship at NE that pays for an international Co-op…but i cancelled my plane to NE yesterday
this decision is too hard

chickenfiesta: I am not in BHP or Plan II

I think canceling visit to northeastern was mistake. Business school honors with best coop program in nation… With scholarship should be taken seriously. If my son didn’t get good merit aid from usc, he would be going to northeastern. I recommend you continue your research. As great as usc is, No one should spend $200,000 on an undergraduate degree in my opinion

UT is a great school and at half the price of USC, it seems like the best deal
