USC vs UT Austin vs Texas Tech University

I'm planning to study about architectural engineering/ civil engineering. Which one do you think is better?

If I have high SAT score but low high school grade (we don't have GPA at the place i live), will they consider me?

How about the weather there? I've never been to California nor Texas. Will i get a lot of pressure from studying?

What is Calculus Readiness Requirement? I know there's an exam you have to take and different college has different requirement but we don't have that kinda exam here, where i live, nor any courses. What should i do?

Texas has an excellent Arch. E proram I’m a graduate of it, and my dad teaches in it, so it must be good, lol). I didn’t know Tech even had one. I don’t know about USC.

It is VERY hard to get into Arch E at Texas, though. It’s one of the most selective departments in the entire university. I doubt you could get in with low high school grades. You’d probably have more luck in general Civil - you could still study structures, and maybe take a couple of Arch E electives.
