I got the same thing @saladfingers88 However, I am not sure because it says they are still making decisions until April 1st in that same email.
Not sure if it’s helpful, but my D as an admitted student, got a different version of the email you’re talking about. It gives the virus update but starts with “Once again, congratulations on your acceptance…” There is no mention of “making decisions until April 1st”.
Did not get an email from USD on the COVID-19. When were those sent out? May need to check spam. Still hopeful.
Has anyone been accepted recently?
Mine is currently on “Committee Review” still.
@freddiamond, that’s not bad news. Many get an email that says “congrats” from that status, directly. Cannot count on the website always updating the status. Best of luck!
Daughter got accepted few hours ago - surprised email came suddenly- we are international- wish everyone the best
Still nothing here.
I got accepted today
I applied with a 3.38 uw GPA, still in shock I got in
If you have a weak area of your application, just remember UCs consider everything holistically
Don’t give up hope!
This is not a UC @Grivpha. This is the forum for U San Diego not UC San Diego.
oops my bad  haha i got too excited over my decisions today
I still haven’t gotten my decision yet, I feel like it’s been a really long time
@Grivpha Congratulations!!!
I don’t understand this process… did they just get tired and forget the rest of the decisions??
@Doubtfuleyes13 same, i haven’t received a decision yet… my counselor told me not to worry, but i just want to know at this point.
@baywojo24 Same here! Agonizing and cruel to the applicants and their crazy parents( me, for instance!)
Everyone, we need to understand that with the school closing, the staff have more important things to worry about than releasing decisions. It sucks for those who are waiting, but we need to look at it from their perspective as well.
USDs decisions in years past trickled out Willy Nilly anyway without a pandemic. At least this year they have an excuse.
I remember reading this from last year. My daughters portal still says complete - ready for review
My daughter just participated in the Torero for a Day program the day before they shut campus down. We were notified before we arrived that they would be modifying the schedule so she was unable to tour the inside of a dorm (but she saw Maher during a tour a few months ago), and she was unable to sit in on a class. Needless to say, everyone seemed a little frazzled including the students who were unsure of what was going to happen. The admissions department did a great job of accommodating everyone and answering all of our questions, and, under the circumstances, they put on a fabulous day for our daughter. FYI her portal still says Committee review LOL.
