@Farqs @redngoldhopeful I don’t have the ready for review anymore. It just says requirements with a check mark. As a transfer it’s not nearly as competitive and I wouldn’t worry if I were you guys. They want to add an extra 200 students per grade as well. I got in with a 3.2 but my application looked enticing because I went to Catholic School my entire life. If you have a 3.7 you’ll prob get in.
@morganmachado I also went to catholic school, not my whole life but for a good amount of it and when I wasn’t in catholic school I did the catechism thing. I’m not 100% worried, just not a patient soul. Hope to hear something good soon
My son went to catholic school all his life too-he as a good GPA too…but he also applied to USF and has to let them know by June 1st so that is why the urgency…USD is his first choice…I hope to hear that you all get in… :o)
@Farqs I wish him the best as well, maybe shoot Admissions an email? If you decide to, tell me how it goes or what they say
I think we will wait a little longer. I suspect that if morganmachado got an update, then more should come this week…My son called last Friday and got the same thing-decisions will go out “sometime” in May.
@Farqs hopefully they do, USD’s following on this site isn’t very large like USC or Stanford so we’re kinda left in the dark when it comes to other applicants statuses. Anxiety is growing lol best of luck to your son
and to you!
My status still says “complete-ready for review”. Getting nervous now that others are starting to hear back. @morganmachado if you don’t mind me asking, what was your GPA/Test scores?
I think we are all still complete- ready for review with the exception of Morgan
@bean499 Morgan is the only person that I know has heard back, do you know of others?
@bean499 @redngoldhopeful Mine also still says complete - ready for review
Good to know I’m not alone, has anybody spoken to Andrew (the transfer admissions counselor) lately?
We have not heard back either. Who knows if Morgan was one of the first applications to be reviewed…We have not called the school…will wait until possibly Wednesday if we hear nothing…
I was going to give them till next Friday before contacting them, like I said previous it’s very difficult to know how many decisions going out with the lack of a strong USD following on this site. Morgan is the only person across multiple social media or any other sites that I’ve seen be admitted
I’m getting anxious because I haven’t even toured the school yet and if I get in I believe I have a 2 week window to submit my acceptance. So that means 2 weeks to fly out and tour and hopefully love it as much in person as much as I do online. Its the only school I applied to so all my eggs are in the USD basket lol
@bean499 understandable, USD and San Diego in general is beautiful. I would know considering I live here lol the campus is gorgeous and the people there in my experience have been extremely kind and helpful. I have some family that attends there as well. So I’m sure you will have no issues at all. I applied to six separate universities, USD is now number one after being denied by USC so I’m anxiously waiting as well. Hope we hear something soon, if you do decide to reach out to them to see what’s going on please feel free to share your interaction with the rest of us. We would like to know as well
hi, just another student anxiously awaiting the decision. on the website it says it could be from now until late july, but when i went during transfer day the counselors said until late may…
@usdhopeful yeah the counselors told me end of May as well, I figure they have one more week so I’m just trying to be patient
Also waiting on a response from USD #feelingnervous
I really hope SOMEBODY in here gets to hear soon
