Use of fictional characters in essay?

Hello everyone.
I am going through the process of doing the essay right now, and i am torn on the subject.
I want to write about a fictional character which has shaped my aspirations. This character is Tsunade, from Naruto, which, as you may know, is a manga. Would it be childish to write about her? I feel strongly about her, and i do not feel a pull towards any other subject.
Thanks

If that’s what you feel strongly about, then that’s who you should write about.

If you can make it work, then go for it. It’s only childish if the essay seems childish. Write about how she inspired you, etc, not so much about the fact that she is a fictional character or about the manga.
