<p>Would my common app schools be "offended" If I used my Stanford Essay (something someone has said to you) as my Common App essay? I really don't feel like writing another one and know that it probably won't be half as good anyway.</p>

what if my essay is the picture one. would they realize that i'm just using the stanford essay since the picture prompt is so unique to stanford (and they've used it for a few years now)</p>

you can rephrase that prompt in a way that it still fits your essay.</p>
<p>I did the opposite. I took my commonapp one, which was about a trip to NY, and told about the different pictures I have of me in NY. ;)</p>
<p>I wasn't going to at first, but now I am. My Stanford essay is much better than my original common app one (IMO), and I got an AP English Lang teacher to help me work on it.</p>

<p>My D. recycled her Stanford picture essay and got into both her EA choices.</p>
<p>I am doing that too albeit for the supplemental essays. Its good to know there are others like me. :)</p>
