Hi I visited USF and it seemed to be a bit different than the other schools I've been to. What is the campus life like? And what are the students like? (Nerdy, athletic, pretty, etc) Not to sound rude or anything but the day I visited the a good amount of the people in my group and the people we saw seemed kinda strange is this how the school is? Sorry I don't want to come across as rude!! Also, they showed us the dorms and they were these super nice rooms that share a bathroom with another room. They told us freshman can live there, but is this true? Thanks so much!

What you see is what you get. Some 40,000 students attend USF, the students are all different. The dorm rooms you saw are real and some freshmen do really and truly live in them.

Ok thanks! Would you say you enjoy the student life there?(parties, school spirit, activities, etc) I’m trying to decide whether to go to university of illinois or USF(because its in FLORIDAAAA and it’s affordable) and I couldn’t really get a feel of the usf campus in just one visit. Thanks!

Student life is great at USF, but academics need to be your priority. If you plan on coming down to USF to party and spend lots of time at beach, you’ll end up flunking out of USF and ending up back in Illinois going to your hometown community college while working part-time at Dairy Queen after your parents get mad at you. Good luck!

Um I’m aware of how to get good grades and be successful, however I intend to have a good social life while I do well at school…

I would grab the chance to attend USF. I attend UOfI in the 80’s. my daughter attends USF. I think they are both great! You can’t beat the opportunities that USF offers and it is on such an upward swing. With the astronomical rise in tuition in IL, the costs should be comparable between in state and out of state.
