Using published essay for supplement

<p>I originally posted this in the Essay page, but was told to post it here. </p>

<p>Is it OK if I use an essay I wrote that is published in a book for a supplemental essay?
I wrote that my essay (I wrote the name of it) was published in a book on the Common App extra info section so the admissions committee will probably realize that I reused it.</p>

<p>I didn't cite the name of the book in the essay however.</p>

<p>But you MIGHT get pinged for plagiarism, which would ruin any chance for college(s)</p>

<p>If it’s your essay and you have proof that you wrote it (credits), you should be fine.</p>
