I need some help gauging my chance of admission at UT Austin. My essays are good, a am submitting an expanded resume, recommendations, and short resume (which is creative). I am also legally blind; could this help my chances if I state this during the special circumstances portion of the application? My class rank is 105/400 with sat score of 1700(all three sections).I have almost 400 hours of community service, and have lobbied a bill through congress. I am also a national officer, and hold the regional record for state qualifications, and have competed at the national level. I am an officer in six organizations, I am a member of seven organizations, one of which I helped create. With this in mind, could you gauge my chances?

Are you from Texas? If so, you’re chances are severely diminished, as UT will allow automatic admission to any Texas student in the top 7% of their class, then typically look for out of state students.

That said, you’re ECs are extremely solid, so I wouldn’t completely write you off. IMO you’re probably a mid-reach or so, just because of your class rank.

If you’re not from Texas, then I would say you should be at least a low match. Your ECs are excellent, but your SAT scores are a little low, so I would say if you could bring that up a bit, you should be fine!

High Match. Good luck! Please get me back.
