Reflection
- [] Strengths: very strong essays, solid portfolio, challenging course load
[] Weaknesses: rank, lack of extracurriculars and service hours and recommendations (honestly, everything tbh)
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I was honestly really confused as to why they accepted me because I knew how much focus was placed on rank and test scores and whatnot, but I honestly think my essays (and partially my portfolio) carried me all the way through the admissions process. (Of course, I am also in-state and a first generation college student, so it’s all just speculation). Also as many people probably applied to fine arts this year compared to some of the other more popular schools.
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: UH, Texas State, SJSU (all accepted)
General Comments: I have to admit, I still kinda feel like I’m on the verge of hyperventilating every time I check my status and see the “congratulations” banner. I’m still incredibly shocked that I got in but also really grateful. So thankful for the opportunity to be able to go to such a great school, and I can’t wait to find an apartment up in Austin soon!
(unrelated note but you left out the [ list ] tag for every section)
