UT Austin Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

Can I ask when she submitted her application? Thanks

Does anyone know if UT releases admissions throughout the day today or all announcements are done for today? My DD applied for CS major as her first choice and an auto admit, I am wondering if I should ask her to keep checking today or not. Congrats to everyone who got admitted today!

She is Top 1% of her class, currently ranked #1. In-state, Auto-Admit. 4.0 unweighted GPA. 35 ACT.
She finished her app 9/13 and received her auto-admit on 9/20. We just looked yesterday out of curiosity, she didn’t receive an email update.

congrats! what were your stats and are you in or out of state?

@pinkcactus456 congrats! what were your stats? were you in state or out of state?

@poodlegirl1234 I’m in state auto admit (1%), 1570 SAT, NMSF, submitted 10/20/20

Congrats to all who heard today! D21 just checked. Still in review. :frowning:

@momsquared33 Congrats to your son!! No, he did not apply to Dean’s but he did apply to Health Science Scholars. That tab says it’s still in review.

Such a different year so far. In past cycles it seemed like McCombs was one of the first colleges to let their auto admits know if they received their major and CNS was always the last. My daughter was AA class of 23 and didn’t hear from Nursing until the end of January.

There was a non-auto admit student accepted today, in a reddit post

@Oldhorn Congrats to your son as well! Yes a crazy year for sure. I think these random roll outs are very hard on students. My son AA '23 heard from Plan 2 in this earliest round but then watched his friends wait and wait. Ugh. He then waited for the rest of his admits until late March but it was sure nice to have an early solid one. Good luck ( or congrats if he is done:)

Anyone have insight into whether roll outs continue over the weekend or not? Also have noticed that I can access all kinds of UT links in my portal that I don’t remember being there before. Anyone else notice that? I can see what a student would see I assume- degree audit is available (courses aren’t loaded) for example.

Not sure about the access stuff. I do feel like 2 yrs ago the next roll out was pretty massive but about 2 weeks later( they did not roll anything out day after thanksgiving).

@momsquared33 and @Oldhorn Wow! We have a lot in common. We all appear to have UT23 students and have kids applying for CNS this year…only I have a daughter! How fun! I am glad there is this outlet for parents to chat with other parents who are experiencing the same thing because I don’t like to constantly talk to my kid about it…she is already stressed enough. Of course, reading all the kid’s stats, I have been gently telling her that it is a competitive field out there…She is competitive and qualified (rank 2/231, 4.45 GPA, stellar E/C Student Council Pres, Class Pres, Drumline Lieutenant, to name a few, Test Optional Because she wasn’t happy with a 1350 and she has been unable to get another test date) but so are all these kids! Good luck. Glad we can all go on this journey together…

Does anyone know if Texas will release any statistics before a wave of non-auto acceptances goes out? My daughter got accepted to UGA on Friday (yay!) and prior to the acceptances, they posted stats of the group that was being accepted. I loved the transparency and found it very helpful. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

My daughter heard from College of Natural Sciences Bio Chemistry that she is admitted on Nov 20th.
Top 2% of the class
1480 SAT

Good luck to everybody.

Any computer science acceptance ?

Anecdotally, from reading both this forum and Reddit, I don’t believe CS has released any acceptances yet. Hopefully, they will start releasing some decisions the week after Thanksgiving.

Thanks @veritas02 .

Has anyone heard back on non-auto admit decisions from the College of Education yet? My daughter applied at the end of October.

Any mentions of waves today? Or any acceptances this past week?
