@tx1707 Based on my reading of the web site, there could be scholarships awarded but the program itself is a separate thing, an Honors program with no guarantee of any scholarship. Of course, others who’ve had their kids in the program would know more.
^^^ This is correct.
There is a scholarship offered through the Dean’s Scholars Endowment. I get the impression that very few of these are awarded to students. It is not prominent on their page but, you can get a little more info is you google that or Alan Kaylor Cline Dean’s Scholars.
CNS does reward continuing students with more scholarship money- compared to what freshman receive & being a DS is a positive when applying for those awards.
Got a rejection letter in email at 12:15am. I think all decisions will be out today
@ivy2021 I’m sorry to hear that. Did you get an email about the decision? or mystatus change?
I was rejected as well. Timestamp on the email was 12:19am. For whatever reason though, Google tagged it as spam. MyStatus hasn’t changed and still says in review.
DD did not get the rejection email noted above by two posters. Any thoughts on whether that means she might be on a waiting list, or possibly even on an acceptance path? Also, doesn’t it seem odd that rejection emails are going out in the middle of the night? I can’t imagine that staff are up and working at that time.
@CorpusChristi Dean’s Scholar selection is completed and if you did not receive rejection, you are likely wait listed. Good Luck.Emails are possibly sent from a server with time setting that you can easily do in the MS Outlook.
@tx1707 Thank you for the insight, much appreciated! I hadn’t realized they would do waitlists for honors programs but that only makes sense, since some acceptance offers will be declined.
@CorpusChristi, yes. Good luck to you.
