UT austin engineering

guys how is engineering in UT austin . I know its in the top ten but what really is it that these college are in top ten in engineering .

how is austin better than princeton

if u know plz tell me how is life in austin ?

thanx for your help

its really good.....people on this board have given up MIT eng for UT eng.....UT eng is my safety though cause i live in texas and need to get far away.

life in austin is great...austin is like the number one party school i think too

"people on this board have given up MIT eng for UT eng"
you're kidding right!? why would someone do that?

$$$ UT is A LOT cheaper!

Oh oh oh makes sense for a financial reason but otherwise...

and UT eng is that good! most of the people who gave up MIT were from out of state.

::austin is like the number one party school ::

that would be Wisconsin or Penn State.

UT-Austin is still quite cheap even for out-of-state: 17K tuition & fees.

I think UT austin is awesome. its huge meaning you'll never be bored with the campus or the people and soo many things to do at austin or so i've heard from former & current students.
If you can get into engineering honors then it'll probably be better than MIT.

whats engineering honors ?

so its a party school, i saw in one of the ranking that it is in top ten party school of the nation .
definitely UT austin is not on par with MIT .
I guess MIT is MIT .what things are there in austin that makes life exciting in austin?

anybody who has experienced engineering in austin ???

UT engineering is awesome, and the honors engineering just adds another layer of excellence to it. But to say honors at ut is better than MIT is just ridiculous. UT's engineering is ranked where it should be, behind MIT, CalTech, Stanford, Berkeley, and a few other places.

ok austin cool !!!!!!!!!
what is engineering honors what is the difference between a honors degree in engineering and an ordinary degree?????????????
