@OChemSucks what are you applying for? We are so close April, we can almost taste the decisions. The anxiety is killing me…
@FutureMDBabe I applied to CNS for Enviro, but I placed my second major as Biology. I also have the option to change my major; however, I wouldn’t change ANYTHING. I mean if it were me, I wouldn’t change anything. Lets cross our fingers that we won’t be last to know the final decisions. Good Luck!!!
@FutureMDBabe I changed my major, but not really. I didn’t have a second major at all, so I added a second major, I also did this before the official due date. If you’re in review it’s probably not the best idea to change it.
Hey guys, just thought I’d share my stats
First choice: Psychology
Second Choice: Social work
GPA:3.66
Transferring from ACC with 38 completed hours and working on 6 more this semester
2 essays - very heartfelt, I got them reviewed by my advisor and received really positive feedback
3 LORs
~300 volunteer hours
Texas Resident
A little worried about my GPA being on the lower side. I’ve heard 3.5-3.6 is typically what COLA looks for but UT as a whole has gotten increasingly more competitive from transfer sooo I’m pretty nervous.
I went into review around Mar 2nd/3rd! Good luck to everyone
Ah, thanks! I just wanted to change my second choice to something in COLA, so by the off chance they let me into my second choice, I’m less likely to be rejected completely. Oh well though! Fingers crossed for CNS & good luck to both of us!
By any chance, can any of you guys access the degree audit off of the UT site? I was reading in the previous threads that there was a small correlation where if you could run your degree audit and a percentage of completion appears, your chances of being accepted were higher. IDK if this is true, but there were a lot of people who said they got accepted, and they could look at their degree audit.
@EVSLOVE the degree audit is to be taken with a grain of salt as said in the previous thread. There were students who could access the degree audit and got denied and then there were some who couldn’t and still got accepted. Do not stress about this. The only thing determining our admissions decision is the admissions office themselves. I repeat do not stress the degree audit at all!!
@walk-456 I believe most of their waves do come out on Fridays. However, in previous threads, there were some who got their admission decisions on a Wednesday or a Thursday. But really hoping for something to come this Friday! ??
Does anyone know if they are going to send out decisions in April, or is it just speculation at this point? I feel like I will be anxiously checking mystatus untill June
Hey guys, so I called and asked and they told me that only students who have automatic transfers will be notified. That first the international students will be notified in May, and that the other students (in state and out of state) will be fully notified by June. She did say that some students will get their decisions earlier than others, She told me, personally for CNS, to not expect any notification untill May or June.
