Hi guys,
I want to apply to the UT Austin Natural Sciences Honors Program but I'm not sure if my stats are good enough. The main thing I'm concerned with is my SAT score. My highest is 2120 with a superscore of 2190. The recommended submission date for the Honors Program is October 15, but I'm not sure if I should wait for my new SAT score to come in or not (I just took the October SAT today).
I am in the top 8% of my class but my high school is considered to be the most competitive in my area.

What are my chances of getting accepted? Can someone please share with me what they know?

Hello, I agree that your SAT Score is a lit bit on the low side. Top 8% should get you into the regular Natural Science Program for sure. For honors however, you would have to have something more whether it’s SAT or a better rank. But don’t worry! If you have outstanding rec letters from your teacher, essays that show passionate interest, or noteworthy ECS you should be able to get in!

Thank you for replying!

Were you accepted into an Honors Program at UT?

If your math is your highest score of the three scores, then I think your sat would work for natural science honors.

Hey, don’t know if you still need this info or not! I am in 2 UT Natural Science honors programs (Health Science Scholars and Honors in Advanced Nutrition) and my SAT was 2050. However, I was also in the top 1% of my class.
