Hey everyone!

I am an in-state resident, and my first choice major is Biomedical Engineering while my second choice is General Biology. I have a 1570 (800M 770V) new SAT score; however, I am top 32% in an extremely competitive public high school in the Houston area. I am involved in many extracurriculars such as HOSA, DECA, Key Club, and numerous other small clubs. What are my chances?

There is no real way to chance you. You have a fabulous SAT score.

Is your school really small? Is that a factor in the rank? If so, and I mean really small, you might be fine. If not, then there is no telling. Various UT admission officers have said they don’t give credit for competitiveness of high school. You won’t know unless you try.
