I really can't decide. While UT BHP is pretty much free, Dartmouth is about 20k a year. I like Dartmouth, but it is hard to turn down a full ride. I don't know if UT is just as good in terms of internship/networking opportunities. I am a Texas resident, so New Hampshire seems kind of far away and cold. I appreciate everyone's input :)! Thanks

Stick with BHP cristina you won’t regret it.

For investment banking recruiting, both are very good but feed into different cities. Every bulge bracket and elite boutique will recruit at both, but UT will most likely be for Houston while Dartmouth will be for NYC (although BHP will open up NYC opportunities).

I chose the full ride for UT BHP/Plan II over Duke on Saturday. I felt that UT’s state-school social atmosphere to go along with the elite academics/good reputation of its honors programs were too good to turn down. The cost difference was huge, but even if the cost had been the same, I still might have chosen UT.

TheGovernator how’d you get a full ride at UT?

Hoopin…

I am not TheGovernator but typically a “free ride” comes in only a few forms. 1) a very low EFC, which can generate not only the Pell Grant, but the Texas Grant, Top 10 Percent Grant and add to that the President’s Achievement Scholarship (for top students, which the TheGovernator would be with BHP/Plan II credentials) and you have carved the “free ride.” 2) Also with Plan II/BHP credentials, TheGovernator could be a 40 acre scholar.

I apoligize for the confusion. I got the 10k/year which essentially covers tuition, but not room and board.

Thanks - me too, but I’m OOS…
