I got rejected from UT Austin as a freshman for fall 2013, and got offered the CAP program, and I got accepted to UT Dallas.
I live about an hour away from UTA, the campus in which I'd go to, and I'd have to get a dorm, and everything. If I were to go to UT Dallas i would be at a 25 minute drive, so I would commute.
I want to go to UT Austin for Communications, but I don't know which option is the best one between these two.
I already have 12 hours at community college because of dual credit and 2 AP test credits. If I were to go to UTA, i would still have to take the 30 hours while at the Dallas campus I'd need less than 6 hours to be able to transfer.
Do they prefer CAP students over transfer students?
which one should I pick?
what is the average gpa to get into the communications school?

There is no preference, a transfer is a transfer, the only difference is that CAP students get automatic admission to UT. I say go to UTSA, it has the highest percentage of transferring CAP students.
