(ie 87-90=B+=3.3GPA)

I heard there were quotas on how many A's a professor gives , is this true?

it's on a A,B,C,D,F grading system.
read the undergraduate catalog...
as for quotas, no idea.

Grading is at the discretion of the instructor.

In Phy 317K, the grading policy is A = 85-100, B = 75-84, C = 65-74, and D = 55-64. Below 55 is failing.

In a section of Chem 301 the grading policy is more traditional. 90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, 70-79 = C, 60-69 = D, <60 = F.

Just Google the name of the instructor and the course within the UT website for specific grading policies.

I doubt that there is a quota at UT. Can you imagine getting the thousands of independent minded instructors to follow such a quota?

yeah...i have heard around that there are 'quotas' for many classes. definitly in the big ones that aren't honors such as gen chem and calculus, english, and what not. Upper division classes definitly DO NOT have quotas though
