I applied to Mccombs business school at the University of Texas at Austin and, like many people, got asked to do the CAP program. The problem is that I've already been offered a large scholarship by Texas Tech and admission to Mccombs isn't guaranteed with the CAP even if i maintain a high gpa. Also, as my ultimate goal is law school, which Tech has a very good one, so it couldn't hurt to already be in the Texas Tech system. My problem with Tech is that I am worried about Lubbock as I have only been there a couple of times and it is basically in the middle of nowhere. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which option would be best?

Traditionally I would say UT over Tech every time. I did the CAP program and got through with flying colors (wasnt to McCombs though). If you have a scholarship, and might want to attend law school there, Id say Tech is the way to go.

It is in the middle of nowhere, but from what Ive heard students that go there actually enjoy it alot. The university is the whole town so you will be a huge part of whats going on. They do get tons of snow though and there is the occasional dust storm. If you cant handle that stay away!
