<p>Islandmom is very correct.. Many Plan II students actually have double majors(some of them even have planII/Business honors).</p>
<p>I'm not sure where you got the $3000. a year tuition figure. I live in Austin, and I believe that I just read in the paper that tuition is going up to about $3600. a semester. Figure $15000. a year for instate tuition, room and board without any extras.</p>
<p>actually, not even 3000 dollars.. for he gets automatic scholarship for SAT score/Rank I think..(If I remember correctly, its 1500 per year?) (hmm getting bit ambiguous.. is this scholarship only for Engineering? )</p>
<p>of course, as you mentioned, minus the room&board.. but I guess by now, he won't get any good dorm!</p>
<p>Oh I forgot to mention this. As a National Merit Finalist you would get 4,000 your freshman year in merit aid and 3,000 a year for the next 3 years as long as you kept your grades up. (the extra 1,000 in the freshman year is the money awarded to all semifinalists.)</p>
