Has anyone heard from any performing/visual arts program and decisions yet?
I am a theatre applicant and haven’t heard back yet. The theatre dept. still has auditions at the TETA Conference in Dallas at the end of this month. On their website it says that freshman notices are typically given in February.
@utbway have you heard from anyone who applied in any fine art?
Does anyone know when the last auditions take place and how they notify. Has anyone been notified of admission decision either way? Thanks
@sjftlg The latest audition dates I saw in general were Jan. 28-31 at a convention but it says callbacks were Jan 23. And I haven’t yet, and I haven’t even seen any TDA people on the official 2020 page lol
And it says the admissions should be notified by mystatus
What is the January Convention? Is it a general audition for many schools?
It’s a convention basically where they can hold auditions with different representatives from different schools so yeah
My daughter received her acceptance yesterday. 
She looked online at the application status check.

@jbeansmom Congrats! I just heard back from them today, got accepted into their Theatre Studies program! One of the heads of the department said that they were ahead of schedule this year and a lot of people will already hear back starting on Friday.

@sjftlg Thanks! I applied for the BFA Theatre Studies major, and I found out through MyStatus (because I have been checking it constantly) and I also received an email that notified me about the update.
Just checked my MyStatus and got accepted into the Theatre Studies program! Haven’t got an email about it yet tho.

I applied for fall 2016 transfer (external transfer) into the theatre studies program and have not heard back. Does this mean I didn’t get in? I see a lot of people have heard already.
I am in the same boat cls4763. I am applying as an external transfer for Fall 2016 BA in theatre and dance and I have yet to hear anything back at all.
I don’t think any transfers for Fine Arts have heard anything yet and I think silence is normal for this point in the transfer admissions process.
