should I apply/attend UTD or Texas State (or maybe UTSA)??
I have automatic admission to all of those. (Top 15% & 1420 Math+CR SAT)

I’m applying to 9 out of state schools and I just want to have a safety in Texas in case I cant afford the OOS schools but I dont want to waste money on these app fees so I just want to pick one

I want to go into pre-pharmacy, ideally with a public health major… but I know these schools dont all offer it

I didnt party in high school (strict parents) but want to do so in college, which is why I like Texas State
But at the same time, I feel like UTD would fit my “academic standards” better, but I heard that UTD is really academicly inclined and they dont party at all

@temoc22 if your were in the situation of being a National Merit Scholar with basically a full ride at UTD vs. an auto admit at UT Austin at full pay which would you pick (comp sci major) and why?

If the financial thing is huge, then definitely go to UTD. From what I know, UTD has an excellent CS program.

If you are looking for a memorable experience, strong academics, and better brand name, then UT is the obvious choice.

You can’t go wrong with either as both have excellent CS programs. It probably comes down to how much you can afford college at the moment. If going to UT means incurring a lot of debt, then go to UTD. If you have the luxury to make the choice without worrying too much about finances, I’d say UT is worth the extra money.
