UTexas or LSU??? How important is prestige?

<p>My parents would be fine to pay for UT but I may want to attend grad school so if I chose LSU they would pay for that.</p>

<p>Which school would make it easier for me to get into a respected grad school program and ultimately get me a better job?</p>

<p>Texas is the better school. Is it worth $100,000 more over the four years? No, I don’t think so. Save the money for grad school.</p>

<p>@Fiyero- Hey man, you chose UT and I’m sure you could have gotten a full ride at LSU! Basically all it takes is a ~ 3.5 or 3.8 weighted GPA and a 1440 or 2180 or something SAT and they automatically give it to you</p>

<p>It is a little different for me. I already lived in Austin, my family is in Austin, and I wanted to stay. Plus, I’m gay and Austin is very gay friendly. Not sure about Baton Rouge. :)</p>

<p>I ended up with a good deal financially at UT as well.</p>

<p>Go to LSU and save the money. I would say go with the better fit, but they are both huge state schools, so you should be able to find a niche in both places.</p>
