How is UVA's engineering program in terms of faculty, facilities, class sizes, quality of classes and job/grad school opportunities upon graduation? How about the civil engineering program in particular?

They are good but not considered "one of top engineering schools" I think they are tier 2 in engineering

Is PSU considered "one of top engineering schools?"

Penn State? Yes. It is ranked 14th on US News, tied with Johns Hopkins and Northwestern.

UVA is ranked 34th, tied with Brown University, University of California–Davis, Univ. of California–Santa Barbara, and University of Colorado–Boulder. Virginia Tech is higher ranked at 17th.

But, relax, they are all good schools!

Are these rankings for undergrad or grad?

Why Do Pple Care About Rankings? Just Go To A Decent School And Nail Those Courses.....and Employers Will Come Running For U.

They are "Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (At schools whose highest degree is a doctorate)."

And ^ retheem is right. These are all solid programs.
