Hey don’t feel bad, for some reason Tech had A LOT more applicants and a LOT of less spots because so many deferred their acceptance for a year!

Does UVA not have an option to defer during freshman ?
I believe they do, however, the transfer blog confirmed that UVA does not plan on admitting any less students this year I believe

They probably do have the option, but I don’t think it was utilized as heavily as Tech’s option last year–don’t take my word for it, its just conjecture!
now that it is today i realize that my chances are so much lower than I thought… I am out of state, applied to a very popular major, it is likely more competitive this year, etc. I am so nervous

you dont apply to a major for uva u would just be considered as a CAS applicant

unfortunately, that is not true. admission is space-dependent based off of major, so some majors are more competitive than others as stated on their admissions website for transfers
