now that's a joke.

well, 63,000 people with high intelligence love to watch the joke.

Not as funny as William & Mary's (3-8)!

Go Tribe!

Isn't UVA #1 in the Director's Cup? Whoa, at least they have great teams for all the other sports! In a few years, maybe their football team will get on the same level as like soccer or lacrosse.

Actually, UVA is #4 in the Director's Cup along w/ Berkeley. #1 is Stanford, #2 is Duke, and #3 is Colorado.

Overall, UVA does have pretty good teams. Besides winning the national championship in Men's Lacrosse, our Swim team has been the ACC champion for 8 consecutive years.

When it comes to football, VA Tech may kick UVA's ass but Tech's overall athletics program is ranked at #73 in the Director's Cup.

Hate to burst your bubble, but where did you see UVA on the Director's Cup list?

It's not even on this website http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/other/directorscup-standings.htm

Actually, as of 1/11 Virginia is in 7th place

page 2

That was last year's final standings. The current standings (released today) place Virginia at number 7. Berkeley jumped to #1

The numbers I quoted came from the Fall Standings released 12/28/06.

The previous standings released 12/14/06 has UVA as #1.

Yes, now we're at #7. It's cool how quickly a school moves up and down based on how well all its athletic teams do. This by far more exciting than flipping through US News.
