<p>If there was any doubt that UVa was a preppy school...</p>
<p>I realize now that I should have named this thread "Sports @ UVa" to show that aspect of UVa life. Oh well, here's some things to check out:</p>
<p>The women's lacrosse team is also the current national champions. They've won it twice before.</p>
<p>Last year, the men's lacrosse team won the national championship for the 3rd time in its history. Unfortunately this year, they weren't so hot.</p>
<p>At UVa, academics are more important than going to a Football Bowl Championship.</p>

<p>Going back to polo...unlike other sports where UVa has been the champ, the UVa polo team is not a varsity team but a club team. Anyone can try out to become a member of the polo team. Virginia even offers equestrian classes. So, you don't have to come from a privileged background w/ a lot of experience to join.</p>
