McIntyre at UVA is higher ranked but it is not direct admit. You apply during your second year. There is detailed information about admission to the program on the Mcintyre site. BC is direct admit as a Freshman.
I believe Mcyntire is better but it also has a 50% acceptance rate. I’m in kinda the same boat as you, I just got in to csom at BC and I got in at Chapel Hill and I’m still waiting on Virginia.
Compare the AP policies. My son quickly crossed Boston College off the list a few years ago because they made it very difficult to use AP credit. It may have changed since then. Last time I checked, UVa had no maximum on the amount of AP credits you could use. Many students with large numbers of credits do a double major.
Also, take a look at mandatory classes. Some Catholic universities have multiple required religion classes. That can be good or bad depending upon your interests, but it may preclude having time to take other classes that you really want to take.
