UVA or MHC??

Hi all!
I'm an intl student and am currently choosing between MHC(with grant:$19.5k, loan:$3500 per year) and UVA(have to pay $44k per year). Major: undecided, but I want to enter Business school or law school after graduation. Which one would you choose?? Thanks!!

MHC refers to Mount Holyoke College~~
Please help. Any advice is appreaciated!!

Mount Holyoke is an awesome college too—very different from U.Va. in terms of size, etc. If you can go there for less $, I don’t think you will regret it at all. It also has a great reputation.

Thanks for the reply!!~~
Actually I have to pay 44k per year for UVA and 38k a year for MHC (loan included). What do you think? THX!

bump~~~~~~~~~~

Sorry, dreamuofc…all I can say is I went to a Seven Sisters college, and that was the best decision I ever made. It is a unique experience and you will be well situated for life after college. The alumnae network from a women’s college of that caliber is amazing. You can get a great education at both schools, but the more intimate atmosphere and opportunities at the smaller LAC women’s college of that reputation, I think is worth it. Of course, ultimately it is up to you…good luck with your decision.

Sorry, but I’ve never heard of MHC…

I have a D at UVA. I do not think you can wrong academically at either school. However, before applying and being accepted ED two years ago at UVA, D looked seriously at Bryn Mawr, another Seven Sisters school. I bring this up because in my opinion, and speaking about the social life issue only, I believe that MHC and UVA are mutually exclusive. I do not believe that if you would be happy at one socially, you would be happy at the other. I think the social life at each school is dramatically different, and to some extent , diametrically opposite from the other. Dig further before you make the choice if this issue is important.

Thank you all!! Can anyone provide more info on the employment and grad, professional schools after graduation? THX!!

i just wanted to say that the glee club took a trip to MHC this semester to sing… haha… and my stepsister went there - she hated it! but i don’t think that’s typical.

they’re so different, i think you should be more concerned about the fit for the next 4 years of your life rather than employment (i think either school should get you where you wanna go).

Thanks for the advice!! One more question: is the undergrad business program hard to get in? (especially for intl students) THX!!
