UVA or William and Mary for political science/government?

Any opinions? I know both are pretty good, but...

UVA has more national prominence.

UVA has Larry Sabato.

UVA has everything.

Larry Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff for Sec of State Colin Powell, is a Govt professor at W&M now. He was recently on Stephen Colbert.

UVa is more well known across the country due to it's larger size and athletics, but most natives know (even if they won't admit it) that W&M is tougher academically. Both are superb schools for gov't and you wouldn't go wrong with either one. W&M has a fabulous Model UN team that travels a good deal of the year and attracts top-notch participants.

Both have fairly good departments. I wouldn't worry at that point, as you're not going to get a vastly different education in government/poli sci at either one.

Colin Powell sent both kids to W&M. Michael is former chair of the FCC and current rector at the College
