what is the maximum number of semester units you can have to transfer to the university of virginia?

Toph, which pre-req are you taking? I was considering going to complete one pre-req, but considering the cost, it wouldn't really be worth it. I am just going to take a class at a local college (which is still way more expensive than community college).

wmrocks, I think that you that you should email or call Greg Roberts or someone else who can tell you the best way to proceed with your situation. Here are his emails:

Or, maybe you can find someone like a family memember who can coordiante an effort with you to ensure that all of the UVa mail is handled properly. Good luck.

student4u, I am not sure what the maximum number of semester units is to transfer to UVa is. The max may depend on whether you are transferring from a community college or a 4-year college. At a California community college, after May, I will have completed 116.5 semester units, and I have been accepted at UVa's McIntire School of Commerce. I anticipate that they will transfer the maximum allowed transfer units for McIntire which towards my degree which is 63. Still, they might transfer more units that will not actually go towards my degree. Also, even if UVa transfers all your units, you may need to take many additional classes (beyond the 60 in-residence units you need to complete) to fulfill UVa requirements, so you need to consider that as well. I would advise you to check their website for this information. Good luck.

My comprehensive physics final is at 7:30AM!

physics at 7:30...ewww...that's sick man...i feel for ya

heh, thanks.

CC Student, I have to take managerial accounting.

I had a financial accounting at 7:30 am yesterday. At least it was easy. Still... 7:30am is no fun.

yer tellin me......anything that gets me under 5 hours of sleep is no fun

60 Units max student4u

7:30 = too early; I feel really lucky about having a late schedule this semester, but it is only possible because I am taking several online classes. Managerial accounting is not fun. I am taking a community college version of it, which might not be so awful if my teacher wasn't so awful.

Toph - Managerial Acct was easy. Just gotta do all the work. Are you taking it at UVa? If so, take it with Linda Hitt. She's a nice person and a good teacher to boot. She taught it there last summer.

7:30 really is early, but at least you all don't have to wait until the 14th to start taking exams. All of you will be finished and I'll just be starting. :( I can't wait to finish with everything so I can pack up and get out of here. It has been fun, but I'm looking forward to getting back to my friends in C'Ville and moving into the rental house. Woohoo!!! Can't wait!!! I even purchased a UVa sweatshirt online because I thought things at the Corner would be picked over by the time I get there, lol. I'm such a clothes horse!

Hard to stay focused here knowing I'm going to UVa, but at least I received some good news. I made 2 A's on my Poli-Sci papers in both classes. :) Now I've just gotta figure out how to ace the finals. Doubt that will happen, so I guess I would settle for a B.

Katt, I'm sure you'll do very well on your finals. My exams are on May 12, 13, and 16.

Thanks Chris! Glad to see I'm not alone in taking finals so late. My last one is on the 20th.

My last final is May 26. Compared to everyone else here, that is very late.

man those corner shops are overpriced like crazy!...and you'll do fine Katt!...just be chill about it :p...that's the route I'm takin...bad thing is i'm bein TOO chill about it...I seriously just don't care anymore!

I think you've earned the right to chill, nahrafsfa.

Yep! Got myself a couple of UVa hoodies, online I might add. Cavalier thru-n-thru now. ;)

Anything below a C = trouble, is it?

Uh, yeah, I think below a C and you definitely may have some trouble.

Heh heh...not planning on getting anything below a C (or a B), just studying for my huge Middle East History exam on Monday and fearing the worst...

Good luck, slammer! Ahh yes, the Middle East. Poli-Sci classes have had me there on occassion, but lately it's Russia.

MAN I wish i'd taken more social sciences....friggin physics is KILLIN me

and the Cav look is always a sexy one :p...I've got my little hat collection!...partly school pride...partly because they're just some damn nice hats :D
