So i got into Babson with a full scholarship and also UVa (no scholarship) , what is you opinion, babson or uva as pre-comm to mcintire?

This reminds me of a huge recent thread about Michigan vs Alabama(full scholarship). You should search it and read up, since it is a pretty similar situation and the points presented by both sides are very applicable here.

Do you want to major in business or especially entrepreneurship? If so, Babson is considered number one in the country for Entrepreneurship.

I am not sure that the Alabama (full ride) vs. Michigan ( full pay) thread is that applicable to you as was suggested. Babson is very well- known and highly ranked in business as is UVA.

You need to visit both schools. Academically, they are on par for business. However, if you ever want to switch from business, UVA obviously has a lot more choices. UVA is also a much bigger school with strong sports, athletic facilities, school spirit, many more girls etc. The culture and feel of both schools are very different. As I said, Babson has an excellent reputation for business.

Also, are you paying in-state tuition for UVA or out-of-state? I am not sure I would pay out-of-state tuition for them over a full ride from Babson unless I hated the Babson environment.

my parents wud laugh at me if i even considered this a question. They would think I was delusional for thinking they would pay for UVA when babson is an infinitely better value, mathematically speaking, since it costs 0.

def454, Although cost is a BIG factor, you also have to be happy with the school or you won’t do well. If, however, cost if very determinative due to your family’s financial situation then, by all means, pick Babson.

If it isn’t, you really need to see if you would be happy at Babson. If you can be reasonably happy, I would then pick Babson for financial reasons. At least you have two solid choices.
