I am really struggling with which college to choose to attend for the next four years. I really need any insight or advice I can get.
From my perspective, UVA would be great because it has the social scene I am looking for as well as the added fun of D1 sporting events. I’m also really interested in Greek life and UVA’s seems more vibrant. I also love Charlottesville. However, I do know the UVA isn’t really known for engineering, which is what I want to study, so I am worried it could be a bad decision in the long run. I am also worried that UVA although not that large would be too big for me.
On the other hand, Hopkins would provide great opportunities for research and furthering my academic career. I also think it could provide with great connections in the future given how driven everyone is there. But, I am also worried that it would be too intense for me and lacking in a social life. I also applied to the BME program and did not get in and while I’m not 100% set on BME i don’t know if I like the idea of not being able to study it. I also am thinking about potentially going to med school and I know that going to Hopkins would help greatly with that. Also Hopkins is more in my ideal undergrad population. With hopkins I am also concerned about living in Baltimore.
Someone please help me I can’t decide
