UVM Access/Learning Disabilities

Anyone have recent experience with UVM and their Access program?
Our child with learning issues and documentation has been admitted to UVM for Fall 2013.
Have been advised by LD consultant that housing accommodations will be essential.
Recommends having accommodations in place before May 1st in order to decide whether or not to attend UVM.
Had great success with our older children who recently graduated from a small college where the LD Department and Residential Life was incredibly responsive to their needs - especially with housing accommodations.
Any info about UVM/Access?

Yes we have had a small but great experience with access. My son has epilepsy and attended the summer program for hs students. We called access first, submitted paperwork and then met with a rep our first day there. They met all of his housing and academic needs. They even told us some things we had not considered.
My son was accepted and will begin fall of 2013. Part of our decision was based on uvm meeting his needs. It might be helpful to call them and have an honest discussion bringing up your concerns. Good luck!
